We are a psychological therapy service offering a range of free talking therapies to people aged 16 or over, suffering with anxiety and depression, that are registered at either Mount View Practice or Broadway Medical Centre in Fleetwood.
Talking Therapies can help with a variety of problems. Some of the most common mental health problems we work with are panic disorder, depression, postnatal depression, generalised anxiety disorder, chronic worry, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), health anxiety and social anxiety. The team offers a range of brief, evidence-based, therapeutic interventions to support people’s needs, this includes: face-to-face, online or telephone treatment options

For Mount View Practice go to the Practice website and look for CONTACT US –Online Contact – fill in the online form. A GP will look at the information that you have filled in and request that we sent you a triage appointment with the Talking Therapies Team.
For Broadway Medical Centre go to the practice website and look for PATCHES-Patchs Health – fill in the online form. A GP will look at the information that you have filled in and request that a triage appointment with the Talking Therapies Team is sent to you.
Fleetwood Talking Therapies Team is not a crisis service.
If you or someone you know requires urgent mental health support, you can contact your GP to request an emergency appointment or attend the Urgent Mental Health Assessment Unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. In an emergency, please attend physically to your nearest A&E department if you require urgent support or call 999.
In times of crisis, help is available: If you need urgent help as you are in mental health distress, then there is always someone you can call: The Initial Response Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 0800 0130709. It is staffed by trained mental health professionals who are able to provide assessment and referrals to appropriate services. Ring it if you need to access services or for advice about someone who needs treatment or support.

Mental Health Practitioner
Samantha Singleton-
The Practice Mental Health Nurse is employed by the practice to assess patients’ mental health needs and signpost to the appropriate mental health service. They can review medications under the guidance of the GP’s, offer SMI assessments and offer some one-to-one support sessions for a short period of time, if appropriate.
